Official launch of new website

January 16, 2011 10:10 PM

The Official Website of Pascoe Vale Soccer Club has officially launched.

The new and improved website will be central to a new wave of information that is Pascoe Vale-specific, including club news, match reports, results, fixtures, player profiles and other special features. Accessibility to information will become a lot easier through the Club's initiative to expand its presence online through social media applications Facebook and Twitter.

The man behind the initiative is clubman Steven Babo, who like many at Pascoe Vale, devote their time and effort to ensure the Club is operating in a smooth manner. Steven's motivation came after the website's progress had temporarily stagnated, and was granted his wish of expanding Pascoe Vale's online presence by Club President Lou Tona.

When asked about his reasoning behind incorporating Facebook and Twitter applications into the website, he replied; "The idea behind Facebook and Twitter is to create a more interactive environment whereby supporters and players of Pascoe Vale can keep up to date through their Facebook news and Twitter feeds, which will contain links to news, photos, general club information, general football news and live game commentary from matchday when possible."

The Club's new online feature complies with its vision of 'demonstrating the value of a community in football', "Instead of calling up fellow friends for score updates and news around the club, you can now access it all through simply visiting the website or 'liking' and 'following' Pascoe Vale's Facebook and Twitter pages," Steven added.

The website is still undergoing construction and will be in full swing shortly as Steven promised; "Whilst the boys go through their paces during the pre-season, I will be working away to ensure the website is 100% accessible by round one 2011."
