Springvale White Eagles Tournament - Pascoe Vale U21 vs Fawkner 2-0 Draw
Date: 03/02/2009
The under 21’s side also had an encouraging start to their campaign, now under the guidance of Pepi Colakovski, with a 2-0 win over Fawkner’s under 21 side. The lads made a strong start in the blustery conditions. They controlled the game from the beginning and could have easily gone up a goal in the first half, if it wasn’t for the crossbar keeping out a Gabriel Sarpa shot from outside the box.

Early in the second half the referee awarded Fawkner a penalty, which was saved by Christian Forte. After persistence and constant pressure from the Paco boys, the goals did finally come in the second half to Sahin Akdogan and Gabriel Sarpa(pen). The lads are working hard to impress the coach who will select his final squad in the next couple of weeks. It’s a great start for the lads & Pepi who himself is an ex player of Pascoe Vale’s and we wish him all the best for the upcoming season.
