PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Victoria clubs have been financially rewarded for their junior teams’ achievements on and off the field with $10,000 through the Sportsmart Development Awards.
The $10,000, distributed in Sportsmart gift cards, is part of Football Federation Victoria's partnership with Sportsmart and also rewards junior NPL referees and coaches.
FFV wishes to congratulate the NPL clubs and recognised referees and coaches, who will receive the following:
$6400 – 4 x $200 voucher to all 32 NPL clubs going towards equipment/balls/cones etc for their junior teams.
$1000 – 4 x $250 voucher for most outstanding community engagement by NPL clubs
FC Bulleen Lions: involved in significant work with community and charity groups, donating sporting equipment & apparel, fundraising and raising awareness.
Murray United: had broad engagement with their local community (local clubs, schools, community groups, events, council & local businesses) epitomising the role a PS4 NPL club would ideally have with all facets of their community.
Port Melbourne: has facilitated engagement and formed relationships with local clubs which would not have otherwise occurred. The club provided coach and technical educational support for Collingwood City and Barnstoneworth United.
Richmond SC: engaged with, and provided development opportunities to disadvantaged children living locally in social housing estates. The club also provided scholarships including transport to and from training/matches.
