What to expect: Ballarat had to do it tough on Easter Monday, backing up after a three-day break for the trip to Heidelberg. Pascoe Vale has the benefit of a longer break – it hasn’t played since Wednesday last week – and will be full of confidence after its first win in the NPL. With its fifth successive away match and third in nine days, Saturday’s contest will be a true test of character and fitness for Ballarat.

Player to watch: Pascoe Vale has a young squad and therefore relies on the experience and class of former A-League midfielders Carl Recchia and Michael Ferrante. The latter was outstanding last week and will look to lead the charge again in front of the club’s fans.
