Under 9 Pumas

Round 17- The under 9 Puma’s played Essendon Royals on their home ground. The game started off well with our boys playing well in attack. It was a nail biting game as the scores see-sawed for the whole game. Essendon Royals scored first but it was quickly matched with Benjamin scoring our first goal. Essendon royals fought back to lead the game again. The second half brought on another goal-Daniel S scoring to even the game. Our boys fought well in defence to block many of the opposition’s goals but unfortunately they went on to score again in the last few minutes to win the game.

Essendon Royals 3-Pascoe Vale 2

Round 16- Today Pascoe Vale played Greenvale. Our boys played well especially in the midfield so the ball was hardly ever in Greenvale’s forward line. Benjamin kicked a goal for Pascoe Vale in the first half. Greenvale sharpened up their game in the second half so they had quite a few scoring shots but Fabian did well in the goals. Pascoe Vale didn’t manage to score anymore goals and neither did Greenvale. With everyone playing a good game this week Pascoe Vale won 1-0.

Round 13- The under 9 Puma’s played North City Lions today. Under 9 Puma’s went in hard from the start as they didn’t want to repeat the beating of the second round. Everyone played really well this game. There were some great saves in goals as well as some great attempts at goal but unfortunately our team was unable to score. North City Lions were also unable to score which shows how far Under 9 Pumas have come this season. Congratulations to everyone on a great game and continued improvement in their game.

Final score: nil all

Round 12-Today the Under 9 Puma’s replayed the game of the first round against Essendon Royals. The boys were pumped up and ready to not repeat the thrashing of the first round. The boys started well, playing well in defence and stopping Essendon Royals from scoring for most of the first half. Unfortunately Essendon Royals scored 2 goals in less than a minute. Our boys continued to play well in the second half with every player putting on a great performance, but were unable to score any goals. Essendon Royals then went on to score another goal.

Final score: Essendon Royals 3-Pascoe Vale 0

3/7/11 This week Under 9 Pumas played Northern United SC at home. It was a cold and blustery day. Northern United scored early in the match. Pascoe Vale then equalised the game with a goal scored by Jackson. Northern United then went on to score another goal. The second half brought on yet another goal for Northern United. The boys tried hard but unfortunately did not play their best game. A special mention to Daniel Z for a great game in defence today.

Final score: Northern United 3-Pascoe Vale 1

19/6/11
In today's game Under 9 Puma's played against Sunbury United at home. It was a close fought match with our defence playing well in the first half. We managed to score a goal early in the match (kicked by Benjamin). We had quite a few attempts at goal but unfortunately were unable to convert. Sunbury then scored in the second half to equalize the game.

Final score: Sunbury United 1-Pascoe Vale 1

Under 9 Pumas played Gisborne Junior SC in Gisborne this week. The weather was freezing and slightly windy. Our boys played one of their best matches this week and defended really well. At half time the game was scoreless. Unfortunately in the second half Gisborne went on to score 2 goals with no reply from Pascoe Vale.

Final result: Gisborne 2-Pascoe Vale 0

5/6/11 This week Under 9 Puma's played Essendon Royals at home. It was a
windy day and the troops played reasonably well. Essendon took the lead in
the first half with one goal and went on to score their second goal in the
second half. Our players fought hard and Benjamin scored a great goal from
the corner in the dying seconds, which unfortunately was not enough to win
the game.

Essendon Royals 2-Pascoe Vale 1
