We played Hume united at home after having a bye last week. The game was a hard
and challenging and the boys did very well to win 2-0.The goal scorers
were Dillon in the 12 minute & Daniel in the second half. The back line was
strong and several good saves by the keeper made it a good start to the
season.

Round 1 Pascoe Vale U11’s Joeys (Lightning) V Fawkner

1 May 2011

After a solid start to the pre-season, the boys travelled to Fawkner to play against Fawkner in the first game of the 2011 season. The match was a very tight encounter and both sides played well and only one goal scored for the entire game.  In the end, well done to the Pascoe Vale boys to come away with the victory in a very tough and tight encounter.  Great team effort by all the boys.  Congratulations to Ryan Campisano for captaining the side today.

Pascoe Vale U11’s Joeys (Lightning) V Moreland City Soccer Club

15 May 2011

This week the boys travelled to Campbell Reserve in Coburg to play against Moreland City Soccer Club.  Due to the wet weather during the week, the ground was very heavy under foot and was going to be challenging for all.  However, the boys adapted well and took control of the game early and run out the game very well.  In the end it was a comfortable win by the boys.  Well done to all the boys. Congratulations to Vincent Surace for captaining the side today.

Round 3

Pascoe Vale U’11 Kangaroos V Light United

15 May 2011

The U’11 kangaroos travelled to Coolaroo for their round 3 game against Light United. This game proved to be a very tough and physical contest. The boys were tested today and were finding it very difficult to score. To their credit the boys stuck to their game and played a very good disciplined game. The defence did a marvellous job and held tight. This allowed the boys to win a very tight game in the end. A well deserved victory. A great game was had by all.
